Lightweight, easy to maneuver, and takes little storage space. It is perfect if you only have a few area rugs to keep clean, and it works well on our tiled floors. Should work as well on wood or laminate floors. Not a substitute for a full featured vacuum cleaner if you have a lot of carpeting (wall-to-wall, etc, but perfect for a light touch up. I am some what at a disadvantage, because of medical problems, so the Bissell Featherweight is light enough for me to use, and to take apart to use the dust buster cleaning tool, and to clean the filter.
